With EcoSpin, Baumer adds yet another innovation to the family of magnetic sensors. The flexible and modular system comprising a variety of sensor types, magnet carriers and accessories provides optimal integration into any given application.

The four different numbers of poles per ring and six sensor interpolation factors can be used to generate a wide variety of pulses per revolution. The flat, only 10 mm-deep housing simplifies installation even where space is extremely limited. Baumer has also paid particular attention to installation friendliness. The system consisting of both rotor and sensor can be mounted in less than a minute using the spacer gauge attached to the sensor.

EcoSpin is ideal for the simple measurement of rotational shaft speed and for incremental angular measurements with a resolution of up to 0.5°. The durable, contact free operating principle is particularly well suited for applications involving heavy contamination or those subject to strong vibrations. Aside from the technical aspects, economic factors were also given special consideration. The outstanding price/performance ratio makes this magnetic sensor an economical alternative to more expensive optical angular measurement sensors.
