User-friendly level measurement? Baumer’s new level sensors are convincingly easy to handle. They can be mounted without difficulty on a standpipe or a tube using the included cable tie. The diameter of the (half) transparent standpipe on which the sensor can be mounted can vary from 3 to 13 mm.

The Series 13 family of laser distance sensors are now also available with the serial interfaces RS232 and RS485. The laser distance sensors OADM 13 have a convincingly compact housing (13.4 x 40 x 48.2 mm) and a measuring distance of up to 550 mm.

The new series 1800 VeriSens® vision sensor allows barcodes, matrix codes and printed characters to be read automatically. By supporting all common 1D and 2D codes, including EAN, UPC, and ECC200 the series 1800 guarantees flexibility for identification and inspection tasks.

With the FADK 14, Baumer extends its product range with its first red light LED distance sensor. This sensor offers good value for money, and thanks to the integrated communications standard IO-link it is very well prepared for the future.

Wherever distances have to be measured reliably and objects have to be positioned precisely, the FADK 14 is the sensor to choose. In a measuring range of 50 to 400 mm it reaches a resolution of 0.1 mm. The measurement is to a large extent independent of the material and color of the object. Moreover, the sensor is very resistant to dirt.

Often there is only very limited space available for sensors and actuators in apparatuses and mobile devices. The new distance measuring Series IWFM 08 inductive sensors address exactly these applications. With their compact outer dimension of only 4.7 x 8 x 16 mm they fit into the tiniest slots.

Imagine the tank containing liquid chemicals starts leaking and nobody notices! Thanks to a new optical sensor for leak monitoring from Baumer, this will only remain in your imagination.

DSRT strain links from Baumer are screwed onto the surfaces of machines that are under pressure. In these positions they detect linear strains. Thanks to a calibration of the complete system, the extension can be converted into a force. Since they only need to be screwed, strain links are easy to install.

In quite a number of fill level applications there are liquids to be detected which require sensor housings and media containers to be made of materials of strongly improved properties due to their chemical reactivity. The new Baumer capacitive sensors provide interesting new approaches to many of these challenging cases.

The completely new developed Series 10 retro-reflective sensor with its polarization filter achieves a very high range of 4 m using a reflector measuring a mere 50 x 50 mm.

The new, magnetic T and C slot cylinder sensors from Baumer are employed to detect the exact position of pistons in pneumatic cylinders.

The full line of the well established Series 14 photoelectric sensors with its manifold technologies and product versions now appears in a new guise, offering a broad variety of new options.

Measuring light barriers from the SpiderScan series are already being successfully employed in a wide range of applications. SpiderScan is just the right measuring system wherever the height, width or profile of objects traveling at high speeds must be precisely detected with a high level of resolution (2,5 mm).

Operation under extreme conditions is the great strength of the new MAGRES hermetic absolute encoders. They provide permanent IP 68 and 69K protection class and offer the highest levels of shock and vibration resistance values.

With its BMIV line, Baumer presents an encoder designed for the harsh operation on railway vehicles. Multiple channel outputs allow simultaneous wheelset speed information to multiple systems, also with differing pulse rates. These include systems for slide control, speed and slip regulation as well as those to suppress torsion vibration.

Hall sensors are particularly well suited for scanning gears and racks made of ferromagnetic materials. Their high resolution allows them to reliably detect gear teeth starting at module level 1.
